Welcome to the Cultural Society Club
The University of Kent Cultural Society Club is a student-led community created to celebrate cultural diversity, international traditions and student participation across campus. The club gives students opportunities to share their heritage, learn from different cultures and build positive friendships through events, activities and workshops.
Our mission is to create an inclusive environment where students from all backgrounds feel welcomed, respected and represented. Through cultural festivals, performances, language exchange sessions and social activities, the club helps students develop confidence, cultural awareness and a strong sense of belonging.

What our members say
Joining the Cultural Society was the best decision I made at Kent. I've made friends from over 10 different countries and learned so much about traditions I'd never encountered before.
The food festival was incredible – tasting dishes from 20+ cultures in one afternoon. The committee puts so much effort into making every event feel authentic and welcoming.
Language Exchange gave me the confidence to practise my English and I ended up teaching others about Nepalese culture. It's a two-way learning experience unlike anything else on campus.
